Efficient Implementation of Lookup Table-Based Numerically Controlled Oscillator

The design of signal generators is essential in numerous chip-based systems. (SoCs). Major signals, including cosine, sine, linear frequency modulated (LFM), and Gaussian, among others, must be produced on-chip. These signals are produced in a digital system by numerically controlling them and converting them using a non-coherent oscillator (NCO). Because of this, an effective NCO block design is crucial. For the creation of sine and cosine signals, the design of an effective Lookup Table (LUT) based NCO is presented in this paper. For the creation of sine and cosine signals, the design of an efficient search table (LUT)-based NCO is presented here. The suggested NCO can produce sinusoidal and cosine signals in one block and is efficient hardware.
