Opportunistic Routing and Energy Harvesting in Multi-tier Networks against Jamming Attacks

Extensive research in security and privacy for wireless communications has significantly enhanced and upgraded the network security performance, however, many risks and challenges become more concerned considering different aspects of the network, e.g., nodes with different trust degrees. Besides, actively jamming attacks, especially with high power, cause a huge disadvantage to the legitimate nodes, nonetheless, bring a new source of energy via harvesting. In this paper, we propose a novel routing algorithm to find the route with the shortest total delivery time from a source to a destination in a multihop network which is jammed by multiple jammers and novel schemes to suboptimally allocate the energy of a relaying node to different communication frames. Simulation results show that the proposed schemes outperform the conventional scheme in terms of delivery time. The distribution of residual and used energy and distribution of the best route’s nodes’ positions are analyzed for insightful conclusions.
