Temperature Rise Calculation Method of Aircraft Wire Based on Fluid-Heat Coupling

Cable is an important part of aircraft, and its temperature rise directly affects the safety and reliability of the aircraft. Accurate calculation of cable temperature rise can minimize cable weight, reduce aircraft manufacturing costs, and enhance aircraft economy and competitiveness. With the continuous development of multi-electric/all-electric aircraft, the complexity and integration of aircraft cables are increasing, as well as the special requirements of CCAR-25 Division H for civil aircraft EWIS (Electrical Wiring Interconnection System), modern aircraft have extremely strict requirements for EWIS cable design. Due to the low precision and limited application scenarios, the previous standards are no longer suitable for new development situations, while existing research lacks comprehensive consideration of various environmental factors. Therefore, this article proposes a wire temperature rise calculation method based on fluid thermal coupling, which combines accuracy and speed. Based on the needs of aircraft scenarios, this article considers the impact of environmental temperature and pressure changes with altitude on temperature rise calculation. Finally, the correctness of the proposed method was verified through experimental testing.
