Multi-Symbol Detection of QPSK Signal in Noisy Channel

Multi-Symbol Detection, also known as symbol-by-symbol detection, is a technique used in digital communication systems to decode received signals that have been modulated using a particular modulation scheme. It is commonly employed in scenarios where the channel introduces noise and interference, making it challenging to reliably recover the transmitted symbols. Quadrature Phase Shift Keying (QPSK) is the most widely used keying in digital communication systems. The receiver in wireless communications systems handles practical challenges such as frame synchronization, carrier frequency and phase offset, timing drift, and signal recovery from various noisy channels. After demodulating the incoming symbols, the receiver emits a brief message. Our work aims to improve signal recovery performance by considering multiple received symbols simultaneously. By simulating QPSK signal transmission in noisy environments, this project contributes valuable insights into practical applications for real-world scenarios, with the goal of enhancing the reliability and efficiency of QPSK receiver communication systems. In this work, focus on Automatic Gain Control, Frequency Compensator, Raised Cosine Filtering, Carrier Synchronizer, Symbol Synchronizer, and Frame Synchronizer at receiving end. Performance is measured using Bit Error Rate at various Noise levels.
