FEKO Simulations of Ultra-Passive Radio Frequency Fresnel Rings Signal Amplifiers

Through the New Mexico Small Business Assistance Program (NMSBA), Optical Radio Communications Technology (ORC Tech) has teamed up with Sandia National Laboratories (SNL) Engineers at the Sensors and Textiles Innovatively Tailored for Complex, High-Efficiency Detection (STITCHED) laboratory, to aid in the development and manufacturing of an ultra-passive, portable wireless signal amplification technology. This signal boosting technology was originally developed by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Johnson Space Center (JSC), as a collapsible, lightweight and portable signal-boosting device, in order to increase reception of weak signals encountered by astronaut crews on lunar missions. ORC Tech has licensed this technology from the NASA JSC with the intention to design specific prototypes for commercial industries, such as cellphones and other mobile devices.
