Optimization of Immersive Audio Technologies Start-up Time in Home Theatre Environment

In recent years, immersive audio technologies have revolutionized how we experience sound, offering rich and multidimensional audio experiences across various industries. However, as these technologies continue to evolve, so do user expectations, with consumers now demanding seamless integration, fast startup times, and low delays in home theater (HT) systems. This paper explores a specific optimization approach aimed at reducing startup times in HT systems. Optimization is done on the side of 3d object positioning and mixing, where conditional recalculation optimization is introduced to reduce startup times by selectively recalculating mapping matrices only when necessary, such as output speaker configuration changes. Experimental results demonstrate significant improvements in startup times, enhancing the overall user experience in HT environments.
