Multiplanar Imaging with a Single-Sided MPI Scanner

Magnetic Particle Imaging (MPI) is an emerging medical imaging modality with great potential for diagnostics and biopsy of cancer. Compared to the conventional closed bore scanners, single-sided device offers an open imaging volume, making it suitable for imaging larger subjects such as humans. Previously, we showed 1D and basic 2D imaging in a single plane with a manual rotation of rod phantoms. In this work we demonstrate multiplanar imaging capabilities of our scanner using filtered backprojection in the horizontal plane and the projection imaging in the vertical plane.
