Design and Application of Digital Management Platform for Optical Cables in Power Company

At present, optical cables have been widely used in the power industry. Due to the passive nature of optical cables, digital management of optical cable network is difficult. This paper first analyzes the problems in optical cable network management. Then, a digital management platform design for optical cables is proposed, the logical architecture, construction principles, networking architecture, and functions of the platform are provided. Finally, the main technologies used in the platform construction are analyzed, and the application effects of the platform are presented. The results indicate that after the platform is put into use, it can ensure the accuracy of optical cable resource data and significantly reduce fault handling time. Through the application of the platform, the health level of optical cable networks can be effectively improved.
