Research on Three-phase LLC Resonant Converter Suitable for Electro-propulsion Power Supply

With the deep development of space exploration activities, the importance of high-power electric propulsion system is gradually increasing. The electric propulsion power supply is usually characterized by high power, low input voltage and wide output voltage range. To address this issue, a three-phase LLC resonant converter prototype for electric propulsion power supply is designed in this paper, and its rectifier network as well as transformer core are optimized according to the actual requirements. In addition, a principle prototype with an input voltage of 60~120V, an output voltage of 400~800V and an output power of 6kW was built in the laboratory with a maximum efficiency of 97.3%, which further verified the feasibility of the scheme.
