WASCO Routing Protocol: Enhancing Security in Vehicular Adhoc Networks (VANETs) using Weighted Average Sandpiper Coot Optimal Approach

In today’s interconnected society, improving security in Vehicular Adhoc Networks (VANETs) is critical to protecting the network’s integrity, confidentiality, and availability. Conventional approaches suffer a variety of security challenges and vulnerabilities in terms of vehicle occupant privacy and safety. To address these security issues, the present study presented the Weighted Average Sandpiper Coot Optimal (WASCO) Routing Protocol for VANET security enhancement. In this study, the Elliptic Curve Cryptography (ECC) approach is used to secure traffic emergency information, and asymmetric approaches are used to generate keys in a system with a reliable structure. The Sandpiper optimization technique and the Coot optimization algorithm are used in this work to improvise the outcomes of the WASCO protocol. The WASCO routing protocol’s performance is evaluated by examining its effectiveness based on important metrics such as detection accuracy, authentication latency, Packet-Delivery-Ratio (PDR), start to finish deferral and throughput, contrasting it with existing methodologies. The exploratory outcomes show the proficiency of WASCO routing protocol for enhancing security in VANET systems.
