Efficient Fertigation System Management through Centralized Control and Safety Augmentation

This research focuses on enhancing the performance and safety of fertigation systems through the development of a centralized control system while incorporating advanced safety mechanisms for the water pump. The proposed centralized control system leverages cutting-edge technology to streamline the management of various aspects of fertigation, including fertigation scheduling and real-time monitoring. By centralizing control, farmers can remotely adjust system parameters, reducing manual labour and increasing the precision of resource delivery. Furthermore, the centralized control system incorporates safety augmentation features, such as automatic shutdown in the event of anomalies or potential hazards, ensuring the protection of critical components like the water pump and preventing water wastage. To optimize water usage and energy efficiency, the research conducts a comprehensive analysis of cocopeat drying rates using a moisture sensor module. By continuously monitoring moisture levels in the cocopeat, the study identifies the ideal point at which to activate the water pump, thereby preventing under-or over-irrigation. This data-driven approach not only conserves resources but also promotes healthier plant growth by ensuring optimal moisture levels in the growing medium. In conclusion, this research contributes to the advancement of agricultural practices by introducing a centralized control system with enhanced safety features for fertigation systems.
