Alternative Current Sources in Electric Start Systems in Internal Combustion Engines

Electronics is becoming one of the most important factors determining the ways to improve cars. The development and application of automated engine control systems, power units, on-board control systems will significantly solve the problems of environmental cleanliness, traffic safety and fuel consumption. Great importance is attached to the work on the creation and research of various electronic systems, as well as methods and calculation programs on a personal electronic computer (including optimization according to a selected quality indicator) of these systems and electrical equipment products, in which electronic devices are increasingly being used. Over the past 10 years, work has been carried out on the research and development of electric drives with capacitive energy storage for electric starter start systems for internal combustion engines, electric vehicles, electrified wheelchairs and other vehicles. The study of the characteristics of molecular storage devices with a double electric layer continues. The result of these research works is the improvement of the methodology and program for calculating the dynamic, power and energy parameters of electric starter start-up systems with a combined energy setup (jointly operating battery and accumulators with a double electric layer).
