Color Image Encryption For IoT Using a Dynamical Non-Linear Stream Cipher Cryptosystem

Given the significance of data security in Internet of Things (IoT) applications such as smart cities, smart homes, healthcare monitoring, and smart structures, it is essential to include robust protections for sensitive data. A significant difficulty in IoT is efficiently managing and safeguarding the massive amounts of data created by various IoT devices. Because of their limited memory and processing capabilities, Traditional encryption methods, such as the Data Encryption Standard (DES) and the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES), are unsuitable for resource-constrained IoT devices. As a result, an encryption architecture that is compatible with the computational limits of IoT devices is urgently needed.The goal of this project is to create an innovative and efficient cryptosystem for encrypting various types of digital images that is based on a stream cypher and chaotic cryptosystems. Histogram analysis, correlation analysis, Number of Pixel Change Rate (NPCR), Unified Average Change Intensity (UACI), Peak-to-Noise Ratio (PSNR), and entropy are used to evaluate the quality of the encrypted images. The encryption process's outcomes are thoroughly examined, demonstrating the method's efficacy in terms of security, dependability, effectiveness, and flexibility.
