Advanced Integrated Prosthetic Ankle

The idea proposed is an advanced solution for those who got their leg amputated due to various reasons, the main motto of this idea is to help the people who want to ride gear motorcycles and do various activities as a normal person instead of making modulation in the bike itself we could look into the actual problem and solve it. Traditionally, prosthetic limbs have provided basic mobility, but newer innovations seek to offer more natural movement. The idea is to use an “EMG” (electromyography) sensor in the right leg which will mimic the muscle movements and initiate left/prosthetic ankle movement. Similarly, for movement of the prosthetic ankle, we’ll be using a push & pull solenoid actuator.One key challenge is restoring active ankle movement, crucial for daily activities. Recent advances can focus on creating prosthetics with active ankle capabilities, making walking and other tasks like riding a bike with a gear system feel more natural. In response, this project leverages EMG (Electromyography) sensors to detect muscle signals, enabling more intuitive and precise control of prosthetic limbs. EMG sensors interpret the user's intentions, facilitating natural movement patterns and improved functionality.Additionally, solenoid actuators are employed to provide active ankle movement, a critical aspect of replicating natural gait and enhancing user comfort. These actuators simulate ankle flexion and extension, resulting in more fluid and efficient walking, as well as the ability to engage in various activities requiring ankle movement.
