The Implementation of Predictive Maintenance Based on Prognostics and Health Management Concept: Case of Air Screw Compressor

The global industry is constantly changing and evolving technology that aims for reliability and efficiency. Modern maintenance also follows this change and can no longer be limited to being corrective or preventive but must be proactive involving the monitoring and continuous verification of the root causes of failure and predictive which aims to anticipate failures and maximize the time of repair. Use of parts based on the concept of Prognostics and Health Management (PHM), which mainly transforms raw data into indicators. Our paper consists of the exploitation of the PHM concept and architecture for the implementation of predictive maintenance of bearings and gears. The prognosis process will allow us to learn about the state of health of bearings in the air screw compressor context and estimate the Residual Useful Life (RUL) of those elements. We deal with the case of air screw compressor to show the feasibility of implementing predictive maintenance based on vibration analysis.
