Compact Wideband CPW Fed Metamaterial Antenna for V2X Communication

This paper describes a wideband antenna for V2x applications that is cpw fed. The proposed work is designed to resemble a ring, with an L-shaped resonator antenna that provides resonance over a wider bandwidth. Because signal reception is the most important aspect influencing antenna performance, this study attempted to improve antenna performance by increasing bandwidth through parametric analysis. The parametric studies were carried out between breaks in the resonators of each ring. Measured result have a compact size of

with operating frequency of 5.9GHz,7.84 GHz and 10.36GHz with return loss of -30.71dB, -20.17dB and -20.82dB and bandwidth as 1.36GHz,1.39GHz and 2.89 GHz. In this proposed work, meta material is also verified for each ring; for the innermost ring, the values are positive; for the innermost ring, the values are negative; for the outer ring, the values produce the resonance at 4.2GHz; and for the overall structure, the output is the resonance at 5.9GHz. The antenna's compact size allows for a gain of 1.6dBi, a VSWR of less than 2dB, and a total efficiency of 95.2% and 87.2%. The radiation pattern is ±180°.
