Discussion on the Design of 1E Excitation System for Emergency Nuclear Power Plant Generator

This paper describes the general technical index and evaluation standard of the lE excitation system of the standby unit of nuclear power plant. The safety of excitation system is studied. The structure and operating characteristics of brushless exciter with adjustable phase compound excitation are introduced. The system has the characteristics of automatic voltage regulator for safety and additional voltage regulator without safety of brushless excitation system, which is constructed by using MATLAB software. The rated load test of sudden increase and sudden decrease of 60% was carried out. The system has good control performance. The model is verified to be correct. The numerical simulation method of the phase-compound brushless DC excitation system constructed in this project is feasible. In the simulation of sudden load and sudden load reduction, accurate conclusions are obtained, which can truly reflect the system situation. This system provides theoretical basis for optimizing the overall design and parameter setting of excitation system.
