AI based Proctoring System – A Review

Recent years have witnessed significant advancements in the field of education, particularly highlighted by the widespread adoption of online examination procedures during the COVID-19 pandemic. This surge in online exams has emphasized the necessity for effective online proctoring systems capable of monitoring students remotely via webcam to ensure exam integrity. This research study explores the diverse methodologies and tools aimed at preventing the requirement for physical proctor presence during exams. Additionally, this study proposes a solution for constructing an AI-based integrated system designed to prevent exam cheating. By leveraging artificial intelligence technologies, such as computer vision and machine learning algorithms, this study justifies the robust monitoring capabilities, thereby enhancing exam security and maintaining academic integrity in online education.
