Enabling DNS Security through Permissioned Blockchain

Domain Name System (DNS) security refers to the steps taken to secure the confidentiality, integrity, and accessibility of DNS-related information in a blockchain-based system. DNS is a critical internet component that converts human-readable domain names into IP addresses, permitting users to access web pages and other online resources. Because every node in the network has cryptographic keys, it may access resources and take part in the consensus process, establishing an encrypted environment for DNS operations. We propose an innovative combination of web-based DNS management with a blockchain-based firewall in the realm of network management. The primary objective of project is to utilize blockchain technology to add an additional barrier of defense while strengthening the security, integrity, and efficiency of DNS operations. In addition, the proposed system has a blockchain-based firewall that adds a distributed mechanism for evaluating inbound DNS requests and intercepting malicious traffic.
