Development of Collaborative Learning Management Systems for Higher Education in Oncology Using Deep Learning and Blockchain

As the situation rose globally with the COVID-19 pandemic, the educational system structure reformation started immediately after the hit of the severe pandemic. Online classrooms are formed for schools and undergraduate colleges; however, in the case of medical educational institutions, the key problem raised is about giving laboratory and practical anatomy training. Hence, the proposed research is developed for the oncology branch students for brain tumor assessments. The proposed system can collaborate with blockchain learning management systems and deep learning applications so that the learners can perform online practical analysis of adult brain tumor structures. In this newly developed system named ‘Onco-CNN-Board,’ the trainer can assign the BRATS data-set brain images, and learners can perform the extraction of the brain tumor for further analysis. Also, the proposed system is tested and validated using U-Net and V-Net models, and comparative analysis reveals that the U-Net model outperforms. Hence, the proposed research is revolutionary in the era of virtual learning management.
