Drop Count:An Efficient Application To Preserve Water Wastage

In today’s world of technology, Internet of Things (IoT) has significantly altered several industries. One of the breakthroughs of the Internet of Things (IoT) is the implementation of smart water monitoring devices. In this paper, the design and functionality of an IoT (Internet of Things) based Device called Drop Count is analyzed. This device is put in the overhead tanks which is used to evaluate water levels and water quality efficiently with the help of TDS meters and water flow sensors attached to it. Drop Count combines two widely used platforms, namely Arduino and Firebase, to provide an easy connection and data transmission. The user-friendly application, Drop Count is connected by Arduino, functioning as an intermediary. A reliable Cloud based platform firebase, is a base for transferring data from the device to the user.
