Augmented Reality Approach in Electrical Power Lab

This paper aims to investigate the use of Augmented Reality (AR) as a teaching tool for electrical power lab studies, with the specific objectives of creating a 3D model and designing an AR application for electrical power lab studies. That will include the descriptions and labels for each piece of equipment used in the electrical power lab schematic diagrams within the AR software. Surveys were conducted to assess the effectiveness of these elements in improving student understanding and learning outcomes. The results of the surveys showed that the AR model was generally found to be effective in improving student understanding. In addition, students find it helpful to visualise the equipment and wiring used in the labs. Overall, the results suggest that applying AR as a teaching tool can be an effective way to help students gain a deeper understanding of circuit construction and improve their learning outcomes.
