An Integrated Vehicle-To-Grid And Solar System For Energy Management And Optimization

In light of the high volatility of renewable energy sources, interconnecting them directly to the grid has the potential to cause substantial disruptions to the grid. When connected to the grid, energy storage systems such as electric vehicles (EVs) have the ability to employ flexible power consumption timing, controllable power usage, predictable power consumption, and intelligent power consumption habits. These characteristics can be utilized for grid energy management. The purpose of this study is to discuss the application of vehicle-to-grid technology for the purpose of energy management in order to reduce the variability of renewable energy systems such as solar and wind energy systems. Through the utilization of the vehicle to grid technology, plug-in electric vehicles (PEVs) and the batteries that power them are able to contribute to the maintenance and maintenance of the grid. The control solutions make it possible for the batteries of electric vehicles to contribute to the reduction of variations caused by solar photovoltaic power and to increase grid dependability by increasing the capacity to support peak demands. When compared to more conventional approaches, the simulation reveals that the implementation of an energy management and optimization technique for vehicle-to-grid systems results in significant improvements in performance.
