IoT-Enabled RO Wastewater Management for Sustainable Development

Addressing the global water crisis, this study introduces an IoT -driven system for managing RO reject water. It emphasizes sustainable utilization and quality assessment for non-potable purposes, ensuring resource optimization. The proposed system employs IoT sensors and cloud-based analytics to assess RO reject water quality. Safe water is distributed on demand, while contaminated water is directed to treatment plants, optimizing water usage. This research pioneers an integrated approach, utilizing IoT for real-time monitoring and decision-making in redirecting reject water. It introduces a responsive system, allowing safe water distribution and treatment as per predefined thresholds. The implementation of this IoT -enabled system promises sustainable water management, mitigating water scarcity. It offers a scalable solution for communities, conserving resources and ensuring safe non-potable water access. This innovative system not only addresses the immediate challenges of water scarcity but also sets a benchmark for future sustainable water management practices worldwide.
