Secure Data Transmission in Wireless Body Area Networks: An Energy-Efficient and Route Prediction Methodology

Today, Wireless medium-based communication carries lots of benefits to human life with various aspects like telecommunication, medical facilities, military, and many more. If communication is secure, then the impact of communication in the area of wireless communication becomes prior, but the security concern is a major concern in this era. Ensuring the security of Wireless Body Area Networks (WBAN s) is paramount, especially in the context of remote health monitoring. To address this concern, we introduce a novel WBAN-based Secure Remote Location-Based Healthcare Monitoring (SRL-HM) System aimed at monitoring human health remotely. While various security mechanisms exist, cryptography emerges as a robust choice. In our research, we propose an Elliptical Curve Cryptography (ECC) based routing protocol within WBAN, termed Secure Distributed and Energy Efficient Routing (SDEER). This protocol integrates the Feed Forward with Back Propagation Neural Network (F2-BPNN) concept alongside the metaheuristics Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) algorithm. Our goal is to mitigate security vulnerabilities while also addressing energy constraints inherent in WBANs. Here, we proposed a model using the combination of bio-sensor nodes and communication sensor nodes. A combination of ECC as an encryption approach and SDEER is beneficial footsteps for the distribution of traffic load in the entire network which minimizes the security as well as the energy consumption by selecting the most trusted sensor nodes in the route for the data transmission via trusted authority.
