Smart Textiles to Monitor Electrocardiograph

The Electrocardiogram (ECG) is an essential for monitoring cardiac activity in humans, but there are issues with its interference susceptibility. In order to solve this problem, this work presents the Wearable Biosensors (WBS) approach, which makes use of a textile electrode that is flexible and composed of printed circuits. This electrode makes use of capacitive coupling to guarantee the long-term capture of high-quality ECG readings during exercise. When walking at a speed of seven kilometers per hour, for example, active shielding reduces the influence of outside noise and enables accurate ECG capture. This novel flexible textile electrode has potential for use in long-term health monitoring applications in medicine by providing useful physiological signal assessments for patient treatment.
