Design and Analysis of Flexible Substrate-Based Multi-band Patch Antenna for 5G and Satellite Communication Applications

This research introduces and investigates flexible, cost-effective patch antenna tailored for 5G and Satellite Communication applications. These antennas utilize a polyimide substrate for their flexibility. The compact size of these antennas measures 25mm × 25mm × 0.2 mm. The patch and ground elements of these antennas are structured in circular forms, with deliberate modifications made to achieve concentric shapes in the radiating structures. Operating at frequencies of 2.2GHz, 2.8GHz, 3.4GHz, and 6.3GHz, the polyimide antenna demonstrates suitability for various applications such as weather radar, LTE 5G, and WiMAX. Specifically designed as a flexible monopole antenna, it holds potential for seamless integration into forthcoming flexible electronics dedicated to 5G and Satellite communication bands across the aforementioned frequencies (2.2, 2.8, 3.4, and 6.3 GHz).
