LoRa network-based alert system for illegal sandalwood cutting and vandalism

Vandalism and unauthorized sandalwood harvesting are severe threats to the ecosystem and to forests. To solve this problem, we created and built a LoRa network-based alert system and then presented the testing results. We put the system to the test in a forest and evaluated how well it connected, how precisely it detected things, and how long the battery lasted. Our results show that the system is effective at detecting abrupt shaking and can reliably send data over long distances using the LoRa network. Forest officials can easily monitor the condition of the trees using the Blynk Cloud Mobile app and web dashboard. They may also take action in the event of any suspicious activity. Overall, the LoRa network-based alarm system holds the promise of reducing illegal sandalwood harvesting and vandalism while defending the ecosystem and forests.
