Dynamic ZSM Multi-Operator Policy Based Security Framework for B5G Infrastructures

The evolving landscape of 5G and Beyond-5G (B5G) networks is characterized by important features such as high connectivity speeds, low latencies, and integration with diverse infrastructures like Smart Cities and IoT. At the same time, security threats are also taking advantage of this technology evolution, so security must moving forward, not only automating security measures and countermeasures on each operator/organization but also facilitating the cooperation and collaboration between operators. In this regard, this paper presents the CERBERUS framework that seeks to address these complexities by establishing a collaborative multi-operator intelligent platform which offers real-time, autonomous responses to both existing and emerging security threats. Leveraging cutting-edge technologies and approaches such as Zero-touch Service Management (ZSM) architectures, Machine Learning (ML) and Deep Learning (DL), the platform automates key service, security and network management processes. It provides multi-faceted strategies for monitoring, prediction, mitigation, prevention and zero day detection of security risks and attacks. Through in-telligent threat management and data privacy preservation, the CERBERUS platform aims to serve as a comprehensive solution for advanced, automated, and adaptable cybersecurity in 5G and B5G environments, with a significant focus on trust management and multi-operator security agreements, thereby improving the overall cybersecurity ecosystem in next-generation networks. We provide a high-level architecture design, describing the main components as well as the key attributes of the solution. In a near future, it is expected to perform the implementation and validation of the proposed approach.
