Analysis of Metal Mine Car Positioning and Safety Monitoring System Based on UWB

This article introduces the importance of coal as the main energy source in China, as well as the importance and challenges of underground work, including harsh environments, difficulties in resource extraction, and mining difficulties. In order to improve underground safety, a high-precision underground personnel positioning system is necessary. Currently, UWB (Ultra Wide Band) technology can provide real-time location and historical trajectory playback. This article proposes a bidirectional ranging TOA (time of arrival) positioning system based on UWB, and first provides an overview of its system architecture and UWB technology. Then, TOA was used to estimate and solve the position coordinates of the positioning label, avoiding the problem of synchronization between the positioning label and the positioning base station clock. Finally, under the support of TOA ranging algorithm and underground multi-base station location algorithm, a coal mine personnel positioning system based on UWB technology is designed. The system is simple to implement, low in power consumption, and can meet the needs of precise real-time positioning in complex indoor environments.
