Research and Manufacturing of PLC Sensors Based Chip Sorter in Artificial Intelligence Internet of Things Environments for Smart Education

There are still many enterprises using manual sorting of chips, and manual sorting has problems such as slow sorting speed, high error rate, and damage to chips during sorting. Based on the existing chip sorting technology, we designed and improved the structure of the chip sorter by using the 3D modeling software solidworks, taking into account the actual production and market demand of the company, the sorter is optimized by designing the stepper motor’s velocity giving curve, selecting the appropriate hardware and writing the sorter control program with the PLC programming software STEP 7-MicroWIN SMART. Finally, a PLC-based thermistor chip sorter was designed for automated chip sorting. The experimental results show that the sorter has a simple structure, fast sorting speed, high sorting accuracy, and can effectively avoid chip damage during the sorting process, and its sorting efficiency is improved by about 10% compared to other sorters in the market today.
