A Deep Learning - Powered Smart Parking System Based on Facial Recognition and License Plate Analysis

An innovative technical approach for managing and maximizing parking space utilization in crowded or metropolitan locations is a smart parking system. To make parking more effective and convenient for drivers as well as parking facility owners, it usually entails the integration of many technologies. The need for smart and effective parking solutions is growing as the population of cities continues to rise. In order to develop a comprehensive smart parking system, this issue statement highlights the difficulties involved in integrating Number Plate Recognition (NPR) and Face Recognition (FR) technology. Optimizing parking space use, bolstering security, and elevating the general user experience in urban parking spaces are the goals. The growing demand for parking spaces puts pressure on conventional parking options, which leads to congestion, inefficiencies, andincreased annoyance among vehicles navigating congested city centres. Given the shortcomings of the current smart parking systems, a revolutionary strategy is desperately needed. Number Plate Recognition (NPR) and Facial Recognition (FR), two cutting-edge technologies, are integrated in this research work.
