Enabling Smarter Sorting: IoT Based Weight-Based Sorting Mechanism for Diverse Applications

This research article presents a comprehensive study on the design and implementation of a weight-based sorting mechanism using the Internet of things (IOT) technology. Sorting is a critical process in various industries, including logistics, warehousing, and manufacturing. Traditional sorting mechanisms often rely on manual labor or barcode scanning systems, which are time-consuming and error-prone. The proposed weight-based sorting mechanism utilizes IOT devices, such as load cells and microcontrollers, to accurately measure and categorize items based on their weight. The system employs a centralized IOT platform for data collection, processing, and decision-making. Experimental results demonstrate the efficiency, accuracy, and potential applications of the weight-based sorting mechanism.
