Application of Digital Transparent Processing Technology in High-throughput Communication Satellites

With the rapid development of satellite communication technology, the traditional communication satellites can only provide fixed service transponders, but cannot meet the application needs of the new generation of satellite communication. While increasing the capacity of the system, the new generation of communication satellites needs to improve the flexibility of the system. It has become a development trend to use the digital flexible payloads such as Digital Transparent Processor (DTP) to provide sufficient flexibility for the satellite communication system. In this paper, a DTP link scheme applied to Ku-band multibeam payload is designed. In addition, the functions, interfaces and components of a typical digital transparent processor are illustrated, and the key heat dissipation design of the product in the design process of communication satellite system is expounded. On this basis, the correctness of the DTP link design of the single machine and the whole satellite is verified through the satellite-ground joint test and the whole satellite test.
