Determination of parametric-amplifier nonresonant gain maximum

Formulas are derived for a parametric amplifier, permitting determination of the frequency shift and the gain increase in proceeding from the resonant frequency to the frequency of maximum gain. The validity of these formulas has been ascertained by comparison with the exact determination of frequency shift and gain increase from the frequency- response characteristics.
