Risk Assessment of Transmission Line State based on GIS

Frequent typhoon disasters have brought huge economic losses to coastal areas, especially exposed overhead power lines, which have caused serious damage. This article adopts a typhoon fault risk early warning method for transmission lines. This method uses GIS (Geographic Information System) position highlighting and system message transmission to assist dispatching operators to make decisions in advance and deal with emergencies. This article takes urban 220 kV transmission line M as an example to predict the failure probability of this line under two different situations: the traditional method and the method in this article. When the span is 20m, the failure rate of the wind pressure multi-model of the tropical cyclone-induced transmission line is 30%, the failure rate of the model in this article is 20%. This study shows that using GIS technology to conduct risk assessment of transmission line conditions can provide more accurate and reliable early warning of transmission line failures, which is a promising method.
