Comparison of Packet Tracer and EVE-NG Tools for Efficient Network Design

Selecting the correct tool plays a vital role before starting a network design. The network designer must do testing in a lab environment before configuring the devices in live production. Testing the configurations in the lab environment gives confidence and is helpful in minimizing the impact on a running network. It has been found that researchers have used the Cisco packet tracer tool to work. A comparative study of various protocols was done using packet tracer. Researchers also used the tool to do network planning. Some researchers used the EVE-NG tool for network design. Here, in this paper, Packet Tracer and EVE-NG tools are compared.
