Overview of Topology Design and Control for Multi-Port Electric Energy Router

Multi-port electric energy router is a device that can achieve energy multi-directional routing and active control of power flow. It can dispatch energy from various energy ports such as wind, solar, generator, and electric battery, and coordinate control with load ports. At the same time, it can meet capacity requirements by connecting power routers in series and parallel according to the actual needs of users. However, the external environment makes various loads have different requirements for power quality. How to achieve collaborative control between multiple ports of power electronic transformers, ensure user power supply quality, and achieve coordinated and stable operation between source and load is an urgent problem to be solved. The article summarizes the development history and latest progress of multi-port power routers, elaborates and analyzes their basic composition and characteristics, and then summarizes the key technologies in the development of multi-port power routers from the aspects of port composition, low voltage ride through, fault port isolation, etc. It also looks forward to the research direction and focus of multi-port power routers.
