IoT in Agriculture 4.0: Farmer Adoption, Barriers, and the Path to Sustainable Farming

With a history dating back to ancient civilizations, Indian agriculture has evolved through ages of different cultural practices, colonialism, and technological transformation and modernization. IoT in agriculture 4.0 refers to the integration of the Internet of Things with modern agricultural practices and methodology. This involves the transformation of traditional farming/agriculture into a more efficient, profitable, and, at the same time, sustainable and technologically advanced sector. This research paper looks into two very critical aspects of IoT in agriculture 4.0: farmer Adoption and Barriers, and the holistic impact of IoT on the agriculture ecosystem.
