A Study on the Development of Random Vibration Reliability Simulation Technology for SSD

This study is about the development of simulation technology that can pre-verify SSD products for random vibration reliability conditions requested by customers in order to target SSD market. There are about 75 random vibration test conditions requested by customers, and it is difficult to confirm the warranty through reliability test for all conditions. When developing new SSD products, quality satisfaction can be checked using random vibration analysis technology, and improvements can be found by optimizing the layout of SSD sets when reliability risk is expected. Random vibration simulation technology was developed using APDL code of ANSYS mechanical, and single-point response spectrum (SPRS) was applied for spectrum type, the square root of sum of squares mode (SRSS) for mode combination, actual user environment for constraints, 6 modes and 2.0% damping ratio. For the representative 15 of the random vibration test conditions requested by the customer, two client M.2 products, datacenter E1.S product, enterprise 2.5 product, and the reliability life prediction of solder joint property SAC305 was performed. Random vibration qualification standard is based on S-N curves of SAC305, and the management standard is set to 50MPa. Enterprise 2.5 product was confirmed to be the most risky, but it was predicted that there would be no defective risk of vibration reliability as it was predicted to be 6.27Grms of customer G, 41.1MPa under $2\sim 500$ Hz, and 23cycles of product life.
