Fabrication Feasible Photonic Crystal Fiber for Improved THz Wave Guidance

In this work, for efficient Terahertz (THz) wave propagation a symmetrical sectored core cladding structured photonic crystal fiber (PCF) has been introduced. Comsol Multiphysics has been utilized for numerical analysis of different optical properties where finite element method has been used as a solver. The proposed PCF structure shows elevated functions in the most of the evidential optical properties’ cases because of proper geometrical specifications, and core cladding selection as well as right optimization. It shows ultra-low Effective Material Loss (EML) of 0.022 cm
^-1
at 0.9 THz. Additionally other significant guiding optical properties have been observed and improved performances are achieved than the existing works in this literature. Moreover, fabrication feasibility has also been discussed in details.
