Development and Testing of a Circular Foil Type Heat Flux Density Measurement Device

At present, hypersonic aircraft have become a research hotspot in major aerospace countries around the world. During flight, the heat flux of the aircraft is extremely high, and the heat flux changes very quickly. This article starts from the principle of a circular foil type heat flux sensor, analyzes the specific usage environment, installation conditions, and characteristics of the measurement object, and designs a water-cooled heat flux sensor for use in high-temperature and high heat flux environments. The sensor was calibrated using radiation heating and the calibration curve of heat flux/voltage was obtained. The calibration experiment results show that the range of the circular foil heat flux density sensor designed in this paper is 0-1000kW/m2, with a relative error of 2.1%.
