Design and Development of Solar Photovoltaic System Integrated with SM System for Specific Locations and Applications

In this suggested work we modeled and simulated a solar photovoltaic-fed Sewing Machine (SM) system. This work mainly emphasizes making use of non-conventional energy i.e., solar energy with the help of a solar PV-fed sewing machine system to reduce long working hours and reduce smaller amount of lower leg and foot effort among tailors. The proposed model is paired with six different parts of components namely: solar photovoltaic, solar charge controller, bidirectional DC-DC charge (BDC) controller, lead acid battery storage, motor driver, and permanent magnet DC (PMDC) motor. The overall model has been validated through MATLAB Simulink-based software results. The maximum power from solar photovoltaics is extracted strongly by perturb and observe (P&O) maximum power point tracking (MPPT) technique and applying a constant voltage algorithm so that we can get stable voltage at the output of the solar charge controller. Subsequently, after the solar career governor, the solar energy is fed to the DC storage system through a bidirectional DC-DC charge controller. We are using a PMDC motor as a load. The PMDC motor is connected to the sewing machine which helps to rotate the sewing machine and the rotor speed varies depending upon the load torque.
