Multibeam Optimal Line Planning Based on Improved Particle Swarm Algorithm

Multibeam bathymetric system is an important technology in the field of ocean exploration, which expands the range of depth measurement and improves the efficiency by transmitting multiple acoustic beams at the same time. This paper mainly starts from the geometric relationship between the beams and the seabed slope, the relationship between the coverage width and the depth, and explores the optimal layout design of the survey line by using optimization methods such as planning model, differential iteration and particle swarm algorithm. Specifically, firstly, a planar coordinate system is established to model the coverage width, analyze the geometrical relationship between the coverage width, transducer opening angle and seawater depth, and finally construct the model about the transducer opening angle and seawater depth through the sinusoidal theorem and angle transformation. Then the three-plane two-coordinate system is established to construct the model between the coverage width and the direction of the measuring line. Finally, the model is improved to get the establishment of the optimal survey line laying model in general.
