Geometric Modeling-Based Study of the Line-of-Sight for Multibeam Bathymetric Systems

The multibeam bathymetric system is to use the transmitting transducer array to transmit sound waves with wide sector coverage to the seafloor, and this paper establishes a mathematical model to study the multibeam line wiring problem by analyzing the relationship of each index of the multibeam system strip. According to the definition and relationship diagram of each index under the seafloor flat condition, the seafloor slope is introduced to establish the plane geometry model, and according to the plane geometry principles such as the sine theorem and the relationship between the edge and angle positions of plane triangles, the mathematical model of the strip coverage width and the coverage of neighboring strips of the multibeam bathymetric system under the sloping condition is established.
