Role of IT in Management of Waste-Industry 4.0

Management of waste is the major issue that is being faced by many developing Countries. Industry 4.0 revealed the intervention of technologies in smart waste management, where the dustbins are equipped with sensor nodes. These nodes will sense the fullness of the bin and will transmit the data or readings to the main office via Wi-Fi or internet. The main aim of this research is to throw light on the role of the current waste management system with 4.0 and Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Cloud Computing technologies in the Waste Management System. the proper way or recycle the waste. This will help us to conserve energy and resources. This paper aims to highlight the technological interventions, Industry Revolution 4.0 in waste management which results in smart and clean cities worldwide minimizing the health problems caused by improper management of waste.
