Enhancing Security with Microwave and LiDAR Sensor Integration

A low-cost peripheral system refers to a set of devices or components that are affordable and cost-effective. These peripheral systems are typically used to complement or enhance the functionality of a main system or device. The low-cost aspect makes them more accessible to a wider range of users, including individuals or organizations with budget constraints. The proposed security system uses microwave RADAR and LiDAR sensors, a servo motor, a GSM module, an Arduino Uno, an LED, and a buzzer. The proposed algorithms for the microcontroller that is integrated with microwave and LiDAR sensors identify any intruders, and the controller reads the signal from the sensors to determine whether an intruder is present. If an intruder is determined, the buzzer and light are turned on. During experimental testing, the system operated effectively and demonstrated strong performance with 180 degrees of detection for the sensing environment.
