Analysis of Crimes Against Children in India Using Machine Learning Models

Child abuse is considered one of the many social stigmas that affect our society to a great extent. Millions of children worldwide are abused, neglected, and discriminated against daily. These children include child labourers, those affected by armed conflict, those who have been sexually exploited, those who have run afoul of the law or are in the state's custody, as well as those who live on the streets, deal with disabilities, or face prejudice because they are members of a specific status of a religious or ethnic minority. Thus, it is the responsibility of every citizen to identify such crimes individually or as a society and help the government initiatives to reduce them. This study aims to identify the nature of the crime, a risk-prone region where it frequently takes place and the possible reason for the same. This study helps to gradually decrease the rates of such horrendous crimes through visibility and also by spreading awareness.
