Optimal Design of Yagi-Uda Antenna via Meta- Hybrid Intensified Current Search Algorithm

This article proposes the optimal design of the Yagi-Uda antenna by using the meta-hybrid intensified current search (MHICuS) algorithm, which is one of the novel powerful metaheuristic optimization techniques. Based on the modern optimization, the objective of this optimization is to maximize the antenna's directivity by searching for the optimal lengths and distances between elements of the YagiUda antenna array. Results obtained by the MHICuS are compared with those obtained by other metaheuristic optimization techniques appeared in literatures. As simulation results, the six-element Yagi-Uda antenna is optimally designed by the proposed MHICuS and yields greater directivity than other exist optimization techniques in literatures, satisfactorily.
