Enhancing Employee Onboarding through Gamification: A Novel Approach in Web Application Development

The process of employee onboarding plays a crucial role in achieving organizational success. An emerging trend in this field involves usage gamification, which aims to improve engagement and enhance learning outcomes among newly hired individuals. This study discovers the gamification's impact on employee onboarding using the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) framework. The results show a positive influence on various onboarding aspects: enhancing perceived utility, ease of use, engagement, motivation, and learning outcomes. A questionnaire-based survey took place to participants who were interns currently in junior and senior classes of fourth-year students. The findings demonstrate the diverse levels of impact that gamification has on many facets of the onboarding procedure, and this interconnected dynamic among perceived utility, ease of use, and engagement/motivation highlights their mutual influence in gamified onboarding.
